The Eighth Physical Training and Sports Festival of Khanh Hoa was successfully organized with more than 1,300 players competing in 12 events: football, beach football, beach volleyball, crossbow shooting, rod pushing, cross country running, traditional martial art, martial arts, etc. Earlier, the local physical training and sports festivals were held at eight localities over the province. The opening ceremony was also organized well on September 29 at 19-8 Nha Trang Stadium, joined by nearly 5,000 people.
The total expenditure for the eighth festival was over VND1.6 billion.

At the ceremony, Nguyen Dac Tai acknowledged and appreciated the good results of the festival; directed the provincial sports department and localities to learn from experience to hold the future festivals more appropriately to the actual situation.
Also at the ceremony, 23 collectives and two individuals were commended and rewarded for their outstanding achievements at the festival.
