In the recent friendly match with Ho Chi Minh City Club at the 19-8 Stadium, Sanna Khanh Hoa – Bien Vietnam (Sanna KH-BVN) played with some new athletes in order to test the competence of these players.

V-League 2018 will start on March 3; therefore, most of the qualified teams for this year’s season are actively taking part in the friendly matches to decide the best formation for the new season. The official lists of athletes for the 2018 season will be announced in mid February.

Sanna KH-BVN is also carrying out some tests to check the skills of seven new players, in which there were four players from Can Tho, Saigon FC, Binh Thuan, Hoang Anh Gia Lai and three players from Khanh Hoa U21. After the friendly match with Ho Chi Minh City Club, two out of seven new players were eliminated because of not meeting the requirements. Among the remaining players are half-back Truong Cong Thao (former player of Saigon FC) and half-back Duc Linh (former player of Saigon Xuan Thanh). The other three are left defender Pham Minh Ti, half-back Nguyen Huu Canh and forward Tran Van Tung of Khanh Hoa U21.

As said by Nguyen Van Dong, assistant coach of Sanna KH-BVN, the team will keep testing the competence of the remaining new players before decide the final list. After the 2018 Lunar New Year occasion, Sanna KH-BVN will play some other friendly matches at the 19-8 Stadium before joining of V-League 2018. According to the original schedule, Sanna KH-BVN will play a home match against FLC Thanh Hoa on March 10. However, this schedule coincides with the one of AFC Cup 2018 where FLC Thanh Hoa takes part in. Therefore, Sanna KH-BVN will play their first match at the stadium of Song Lam Nghe An in the second round.

V-League 2017 was considered as the most successful season of Sanna KH-BVN although the team of the coastal province only finished sixth. Sanna KH-BVN with young players played dedicatedly and proved that they were among the most competitive teams at last year’s season. Additionally, the team was selected to represent Vietnam at Mekong Cup 2017 where they finish second after losing to Muangthong United of Thailand 1-3 in the final match.

Hopefully, with the joining of some new players, Sanna KH-BVN will performed better at V-League 2018.
