The final match of Ho Lu Cup 2018 saw the competition between the host Trang An Ninh Binh and The Cong. The final win came to Trang An Ninh Binh as expected by the professionals. The reason was that Trang An Ninh Binh took part in this tournament not only with the advantage of playing at home ground but also the joining of many quality players from the 4th Corps which was dissolved earlier. Trang An Ninh Binh defeated their opponents in the group stage and semi-final with the same scores of 3-0 and won 3-1 against The Cong in the final. With the performances at Hoa Lu Cup 2018, Trang An Ninh Binh proved that they will be a tough opponent for any team at this year’s National Volleyball Championships.
Sanest Khanh Hoa, only finished third at this tournament. However, with a new coach and many changes in the line-up, Sanest Khanh Hoa did not set a high target at this tournament but considered it as a good opportunity to test new young players. The opponents of Sanest Khanh Hoa at Hoa Lu Cup 2018 (Trang An Ninh Binh, Xo so kien thiet Vinh Long) were also their opponents at the Group B of the National Volleyball Championships 2018 which is slated for April 14-24. Therefore, through Hoa Lu Cup, the representative of Khanh Hoa’s volleyball could learn about their opponents in order to choose the appropriate way of playing for the upcoming championships.

Reportedly, at Hoa Lu Cup, the junior players of Sanest Khanh Hoa like Ngo Van Kieu, Tu Thanh Thuan, Xuan Tan, Van Phong, etc. played with stable form. Their rookies also played well and contributed to the two 3-0 wins against Military Zone 4 and the Border. The blocking skills and coordination between the players improved.
Although it still requires a lot of time and preparation, Sanest Khanh Hoa through Hoa Lu Cup 2018 showed that they could harmonize the experience of the junior players and the youth of young players.
