Vietnamese athlete wins gold at 2018 Asian Taekwondo Championships

Truong Thi Kim Tuyen of Vietnam won the first gold medal for Vietnam at the 2018 Asian Taekwondo Championships taking place at Phu Tho Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) after finishing Thailand athlete Charanawat Napaporn off 13-5 in the combat event of women's -46kg.

Reportedly, Tuyen defeated Charanawat Napaporn at the semi-final match of the World Championships 2017 where she achieve silver medal in women’s -46kg. Tuyen also won one gold at SEA Games 28 and one silver at SEA Games 29.
