Vietnamese women's team gains silver at Asian Nations Cup Chess Team Championship 2018

The striking performances of Thao Nguyen and Mai Hung helped Vietnamese women's team to win a silver medal at the Asian Nations Cup Chess Team Championship 2018 held recently in Iran. This was also the best achievement of Vietnamese female team since they won the championship of this tournament in 2009.

Pham Le Thao Nguyen (Elo 2334) had 4.5 points after games while Nguyen Thi Mai Hung (Elo 2226) got five points after seven games. The results of these two athletes partly helped Vietnam to obtain 11 points with five wins, one draw, and one loss.
