The beach volleyball event is joined by 19 male and female teams across the country. The teams are divided into four groups and play in a double round robin format (qualification round and ranking round).

Beach volleyball is the event kicking off the National Sports Festival 2018 and is also the only event out of 36 ones of the festival being held in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa.
The final matches of the beach volleyball tournament will take place on November 18.
