The free football training class for children in Dong De area (Nha Trang) opened lately by Vinh Hai Ward Youth Union has drawn the attention and participation of numerous parents and children in the locality.
Football is a favorite sport of many children in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. In order to create more sports playgrounds for children in the province, many movement football clubs and former football players opened football training centers for children across the province. The learners pay tuition fees to take part in these centers. Aiming to help children loving football from poor families to have chance playing this sport, the Youth Union of Vinh Hai Ward opened a free-of-charge football class for children in early March with the enthusiastic support from C-CASA football club.

As said by Phan Xuan Thao, Secretary of Vinh Hai Ward Youth Union, the forming of this class was actively supported by the movement football players in the province. Most of the facilities of the class such as training pitch, balls, and training equipment were provided by these players. The class’s instructors are the quality players of movement football in Khanh Hoa, for example outstanding defender of C-CASA club Le Nguyen Tuan Minh.
The class opens at Alpha artificial football pitch (Nguyen Bieu Street, Vinh Hai Ward) on Sundays. The first session was joined by more than 50 learners from six to over 12 years old. After the images and videos of the first session were posted on the fan page of Vinh Hai Ward Youth Union, the number of learners increased to more than 100 in the second session. “I love playing football, but my family could not afford the training fees of the football centers. Therefore, my parents took me to this free class when it opened.”
Apart from the support from the movement players, Phan Xuan Thao hopes to receive more support from the public in order to help the children to have clothes and shoes suitable for practicing as well as to maintain this free class and create more useful playgrounds for children.
