Taking part in the ceremony were over 500 pupils, students, public servants, laborers, and the armed forces across the city. At the ceremony, the organization committee encouraged all people in the city to do swimming; stated the importance of learning swimming skills in protecting people, especially children from water hazards, etc.
On this occasion, the organization committee gave presents to 30 disadvantaged pupils.

A provincial swimming contest for age groups was also organized at the swimming pool of Nha Trang Center of Culture and Sports on June 1 and 2. 50 male and female players from six swimming clubs in the province competed in the events such as 50m freestyle, 50m and 100m breaststroke.

Finally, 17 medal sets were awarded to the outstanding individuals; first, second, and third prizes were given to Yet Kieu team, University of Telecommunications, and Ninh Hoa team respectively.
