The school traditional martial art team of Khanh Hoa included 23 players. These players were the outstanding ones who often took part in and got good results at the provincial traditional martial art competitions for pupils and students.
As said by Dang Quoc Van, Deputy Head of Bureau of Sports Management (provincial Department of Culture and Sports), although this sport has developed quite well in Khanh Hoa and most of the traditional martial art practitioners are pupils and students, it has been mainly practiced at the clubs and dojos. The forming of school traditional martial art team was the first step to incorporate this sport into schools and promote its movement. In August, the provincial sector of sports will corporate with the sector of education and the Traditional Martial Art Association to open training course for the sports teachers as a preparation for this sports to be taught at schools.
The players who were selected for the National Sports Traditional Martial Art Competition 2019 were the outstanding members of Hac Long and Minh Long Tay Son dojos. The two dojos have contributed much in the development of this sports in Khanh Hoa and gained many medals and the regional, national, and even international traditional martial art festivals.
The relating sectors and associations held a meeting to encourage the players before they travel to Dong Nai Province to take part in the 2019 competition. At the meeting, the leader of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company gave 23 gifts worth over VND600 thousand each to the team members.
