The contest was joined by 146 male and female players from the cities of Nha Trang and Cam Ranh, Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Vinh District, Van Ninh District and Nha Trang University.

At the contest, the players were divided into age groups (under 14 years old and from 15 to 30 years old and) and 12 weight categories (from 37kg to 57kg); competed in demonstrative and combat events.
