The positive results when facing strong teams in the recent rounds is giving Sanna Khanh Hoa-Bien Vietnam (Sanna KH-BVN) a survival hope at this season of V-League 1. In round 20, they will play home match with SHB Da Nang on August 10 and will have to play at their best to gain three precious points.

This year, Sanna KH-BVN has so far only won two games at the home ground against Quang Nam and Becamex Binh Duong. The team of the coastal province often plays better at the away grounds than home ground. In the previous editions of V-League 1, they had five to seven home-ground wins per season, which was not high but enough to save them from relegation and even put them in high position. However, at present, Sanna KH-BVN is currently at the bottom of the V-League 1 table. They really need points to have a spot in the next season.

It could be seen that the results of Sanna KH-BVN in the return leg have not too bad. They won two matches, lost twice, and drew two matches. Although they are still in the precarious position in relegation zone, they are showing that they still have chance to avoid the drop to the lower league next season. They managed to draw 2-2 and 1-1 against two top teams Hanoi and Than Quang Ninh respectively; overcame the favorite for this year’s championship Ho Chi Minh City 2-1.

In the first leg of this season, Sanna KH-BVN lost 1-2 to SHB Da Nang at Da Nang’s stadium. However, they had one win and two draws when playing SHB Da Nang last year. It can give them a driving force and more confidence in their upcoming clash on August 10.

SHB Da Nang is standing at fourth place in the table with 27 points (seven wins, six draws, six losses). Their strikers are having a good form. Do Merlo has scored eight goals; Dang Anh Tuan has had five successful goal kicks; Djicka Gassissou Aime has had three goals. SHB Da Nang has proven that they are highly stronger than Sanna KH-BVN this season. Therefore, Sanna KH-BVN needs to play with an appropriate tactic and take full home advantage in order to get three points from SHB Da Nang. As said by a leader of Sanna KH-BVN, the team has to win all their remaining home matches of this season to qualify for next season’s V-League 1.
