The 2019 edition of Khanh Hoa’s football championship saw the participation of 12 teams of the localities and businesses across the province, including Nha Trang, Dien Khanh, Ninh Hoa, Van Ninh, Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh, Cam Ranh, Thanh Thanh Travel, Olympic Gyms, Thanh Thao Sanlanganes Nest, and Viet Trang. Most of these teams are the familiar ones at the province’s movement football tournaments.

The football movement of Khanh Hoa in recent years has developed strongly with many versions of football tournaments being held, ranging from futsal, eleven-a-side to artificial football tournaments. Among these tournaments, the provincial championship has still been the most favorite one of both teams and fans. This championship has been highly appreciated for its quality compared to the movement football contests held by the businesses although it is organized at a smaller scale and its prize money is often lower than other tournaments.
In order to play well at this year’s provincial championship, Thanh Thanh Travel recruited some players who used to play for Khatoco Khanh Hoa in V-League , the highest division of football in Vietnam, namely Cong Quoc, Ngoc Dieu, and Cao Sy Cuong. The teams of Nha Trang City, Dien Khanh District, and Van Ninh District, etc. also enhanced their competence with players from the youth football training centers of Khanh Hoa. Thanks to the joining of these players, the quality of the matches of the 2019 provincial championship was improved.
Despite their good preparation, Thanh Thanh Travel, the favorite for the 2019 championship, had many hard matches before claiming the final victory. They struggled to win Nha Trang and Dien Khanh in the penalty shootouts of the semi-final and final. Reportedly, in order to encourage efforts of the players, sponsor Thao of Thanh Thanh Travel rewarded the team’s players and their family a trip to Da Lat City.
