The badminton club open tournament of Khanh Hoa has been organized for 19 years and has proved its attractiveness to a lot of badminton players in Khanh Hoa and some other localities.

Over 240 players of 15 badminton clubs in Khanh Hoa and 16 clubs of other provinces took part in the 2019 provincial open tournament held lately by Khanh Hoa Badminton Federation. This was an impressive figure for a local movement sports contest. In 19 years being organized regularly, the organizers have expanded the size of the tournament many times; the tournament’s quality has also been improved.

The attractiveness of the 2019 tournament was proved with the increase of participants from other provinces (more than 100 players of 16 teams). This has also been the highest number of teams in 19 editions. Besides the teams which often join this tournaments (Lam Dong Province, Dak Lak Province, Phu Yen Province), there were many strong teams of Hanoi and Da Nang making their debut at this year’s tournament. These newcomers added more excitement and competitiveness to the 2019 edition.

“I am happy taking part in this tournament because it has been evaluated as a quality and prestigious badminton tournament in Vietnam,” said a player of Da Nang.

Khanh Hoa’s players have often been highly appreciated for their skills and quality in age group of 41 and above at the provincial open tournaments and national movement badminton tournaments. Meanwhile, the players from 16 to 40 years old of Khanh Hoa have been quite inferior to the ones of other provinces and cities. However, thanks to the clubs’ investment in youth training and players’ assiduous practice, the young players of many clubs such as Sport Passion Nha Trang, Hanh Tinh Xanh, Hung Dao, Nghe Nhan, and Naval Academy, etc. obtained some medals at the provincial badminton club open tournament 2019. For example, Nguyen Thi Ha Vy of Naval Academy won a gold medal in women’s singles for age group from 16 to 30; young player Huynh Ngoc Hien of Hung Dao Club achieved a silver medal in men’s singles.

Reportedly, the province’s badminton club open tournament has been supported by some sponsors such as Khanh Hoa Lottery Company and Sanest Tourist. Apart from these two businesses, the 2019 edition was also sponsored by Phuong Huong Bac Can, a badminton manufacturing company. These businesses have contributed significantly in maintaining a quality and attractive sports tournament for Khanh Hoa.
