Up to now, the champion and runner-up of this year’s V-League 1 have been determined, which are Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City respectively. However, the other teams still have some matches to play to assure their position on the point table. Six teams, including Than Quang Ninh (35 points), Song Lam Nghe An (33 points), SHB Da Nang (33 points), Becamex Binh Duong (33 points), Quang Nam (33 points), and Saigon (33 points) are fighting for the third position. Than Quang Ninh are going to meet Hanoi at their home ground in the last round.

The relegation battle is entering the most crucial and dramatic stage this season. Teams in the bottom half are scrambling to avoid the relegation zone. S.KH-BVN with 24 points and Thanh Hoa with 25 points are the two being at risk of relegation. Duoc Nam Ha Nam Dinh (28 points), Hoang Anh Gia Lai (29 points), Hai Phong and Viettel, who are equal on 30 points, are certainly not clear of the drops. Among the four with lowest points, three teams will play at their home ground, except for Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

For S.KH-BVN, the match with Saigon is their last chance this season. If they cannot take the advantage of playing at home and get three points, they won’t have any chance at safety. S.KH-BVN will play this match without left-wing defender Tan Dien, who has been suspended for cards. This is regarded as a disadvantage for the host because Tan Dien plays a quite important role in their counter-attack. Coach Vo Dinh Tan may replace Tan Dien by Trung Hieu.

S.KH-BVN lost 1-2 to Saigon in the first leg and is in a more dangerous position. However, if they can play with a good form and spirit of competition as they did in the match with Duoc Nam Ha Nam Dinh in round 24, they can make surprise.

Reportedly, in order to thanks the fans for their support, the managing committee of S.KH-BVN in association with the 19-8 Nha Trang Stadium to offer free entrance to grandstand B, C, and D.
