Indonesia U22 launched many attacks right before the whistle. They unleashed their attacks from two wings and produced many long-range strikes towards to goal of Vietnam. Meanwhile, Vietnam U22 limited the spaces to frustrate the attacks of Indonesian players.
Vienam took the lead on 40 minutes when Doan Van Hau headed home from a brilliant free kick from Do Hung Dung. Vietnamese keeper Van Toan excellently kept the net clear when Indonesia pushed forwards in the last minutes of the first half.
Vietnam continued their good play in the second half with Hung Dung doubling the lead for Vietnam in the 59th minute.
In the 73rd minute, a free kick swung dangerously across the face of goal by Nguyen Hoang Duc was pushed away by Indonesian keeper, but Van Hau pounced on the rebound to bring the score to 3-0. The score remained to the final whistle.
Vietnam U22 clinched SEA Games 30 men’s football goal medal.
