A lot of football fans in Khanh Hoa Province doubted that S.KH-BVN would disappear again in the domestic tournaments and that 19-8 Nha Trang Stadium would be no longer an awaited venue for exciting football competitions on weekends. These doubts were soon swept away as S.KH-BVN started to prepare for the new season thanks to encouragement and support from the province’s leaders and sponsors. Since Lunar New Year 2020, the team’s fanpage has often updated information about the team’s situation, their training sessions and friendly matches to prepare for the 2020 season. These updates have received many positive responses and been shared by many football supporters, who wished them a good new season and hoped that the team will play better and advance to V-League 1 next year.
Reportedly, S.KH-BVN will go into the new season with much the same line-up as they played last season. Besides, some young players were promoted from junior teams to play in this season. After the 2019 season, many important players of S.KH-BVN were given offers from many teams. Foreign players namely Toure, Patiyo, and Zarour Chaher Nguyen Trung Dai Duong founded their new team. Goalkeeper Tuan Manh, one of Vietnam’s goalkeepers at Asian Cup 2019, and many other players chose to stay with S.KH-BVN as a way to express their gratitude towards their fans. In the heart of fans, S.KH-BVN is a dedicated team who always display a good spirit and play as best as they can to get as good result as possible.
According to the original schedule, S.KH-BVN would have played Viettel in the elimination round of the National Cup on February 9 and will face Long An in the first leg of V-League 2 on February 29. However, all sports contests scheduled in February have been suspended due to the acute respiratory infection caused by new coronavirus (Covid-19) and are expected to kick off in the beginning of March. At present, S.KH-BVN are actively practicing and trying to stay healthy for the upcoming tournaments.
