Reportedly, the old tennis court of Ninh Hoa Town Children’s House was built over 16 years ago; its quality had deteriorated and hadn’t met standards. All the members of Ninh Hoa Friendship Tennis Club had wished for a new tennis court. The club suggested the idea of upgrading the old tennis court to create a tennis playground for teenagers and children as well as promote tennis movement among children and teenagers across the town. The idea was agreed by leaders of the children house and enthusiastically responded and supported by many tennis lovers and parents of the children learning at the children’s house.

The two new tennis courts, covering an area of nearly 300 square meters, were upgraded and completed in more than one week (from the end of February to the beginning of March). The new courts have a total construction cost of over VND140 million, including more than VND20 million from Kim Linh gold, silver and gemstone shop, VND100 million from two men loving tennis, and some from other units. “Since the new courts having been put into use, my grandchild goes the children’s house every afternoon to play tennis. The flooring mats of the new courts are safer for than the cement floor of the old one,” said a grandparent.
According to Le Thanh Ninh, member of Ninh Hiep Ward Red Cross Association, head of Ninh Hoa Friendship Tennis Club, the new tennis courts at Ninh Hoa Town Children’s House are used mainly for tennis teaching classes and movement tennis contests for teenagers and children. Outside of these times, adults can practice tennis at these courts.
Hopefully, the new tennis courts will attract more and more children and teenagers in Ninh Hoa Town to come and practice tennis.
