Attendees at the opening ceremony were Nguyen The Ky, Member of Party Central Executive Committee, General Director of VOV, President of Central Council for Literary-Arts Criticism; Tran Minh Hung, Deputy General Director of VOV, Chief of Steering Committee of national futsal 2020; Vuong Bich Thang, General Director of the General Department of Physical Training and Sports; Tran Quoc Tuan, Permanent Deputy Chairman of VFF, Co-chair of the Steering Committee of national futsal 2020; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; and leadership of the main sponsor of the championship.

The ten finalists of HDBank National Futsal Championship 2020 are the four best teams of the 2020 qualifying round (Sanvinest Sanvinest Khanh Hoa, VietFootball, Cao Bang, Quang Nam) and the top of the 2019 championship (Thai Son Nam, Thai Son Bac, Quang Ngai, Sanvinest Sanatech Khanh Hoa, Kadiachain Saigon, and Sahako).
The final round includes first leg (in Nha Trang City, from June 14 to July 5) and second leg (in Ho Chi Minh City, from September 5 to 26).

On the opening day, Cao Bang tied 1-1 with Quang Nam; Sanvinest Sanatech Khanh Hoa shared points with Da Nang in a 1-1 draw; Sanvinest Sanna Khanh Hoa had a comfortable 7-0 win over VietFootball.
