More than 190 male and female players from 18 martial arts clubs, schools and localities in the province take part in the tournament. The tournament includes two events: kata (demonstration) and kumite (combat). The players are split into age groups from 9 to 14 and weight categories from 45 to 65.

After the tournament, the excellent players can be chosen for the provincial martial art team to prepare for the upcoming national tournament.
