Taking place from December 20 to 28, the tournament was played by nine male and six female teams from the basketball clubs, provinces and cities across the country, namely Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Thuan, Phu Tho, Da Nang, Hanoi, Soc Trang, Can Tho, Quang Ninh, and Khanh Hoa, etc.
After nine match days and 34 matches, in men’s event, Ho Chi Minh City won the championship; Air Defense - Air Force got second prize; Soc Trang and Hanoi were tied for third place.

In women’s event, the championship belonged to Ho Chi Minh City; Can Tho finished second; Quang Ninh and Hanoi got third prizes.
