On the opening day, in women’s event, Duc Giang Hanoi Chemical won Vinh Long Television 3-0; Kinh Bac Bac Ninh beat VTV Binh Dien Long An 3-0. In men’s event, Ho Chi Minh City defeated Vinh Long Lottery 3-0; Sanest Khanh Hoa overcame Long An 3-1.
