Khanh Hoa’s football team had to replace their sponsors some times in the past, which used to force the team to give up their spot in the highest domestic league. Afterwards, they had to start again from scratch. Over a period of playing in the country’s professional tournament, Khanh Hoa football emerged as a team who always played in the sprit of fair play, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm. However, they couldn’t maintain their position in V-League 1 and were relegated to V-League 2 after the 2019 season.
Last year, Sanna Khanh Hoa-Bien Vietnam (former name of Khanh Hoa FC) underwent a lot of difficulties due to COVID-19 outbreak. Their sponsor was badly affected by the pandemic. Khanh Hoa’s football faced a financial crisis. They lost many quality players in that period of crisis. Under such difficult circumstances, coach Vo Dinh Tan and the players of Khanh Hoa proved their passion for football and showed their appreciation for their supporters. It was a pity that they couldn’t win the promotion battle, but finishing third could be regarded as an encouraging result after such many challenges.

Fortunately, the support from the provincial authorities and sponsorship of VND20 billion from Cam Ranh International Real Estate Joint Stock Company helped the team to overcome the crisis and can continue to play in V-League 2 season 2021. They also have new name, Khanh Hoa FC, and new uniform for the upcoming season. The support is expected to provide impetus for the team to strengthen their force and get promoted back to V-League 1.

In order to prepare for the new season scheduled for early April, Khanh Hoa FC has recruited some experienced players, who are playing in V.League. They also took part in training tournament Thien Long 2020 Masu Cup in Binh Duong Province and had two draws with Nam Dinh and Becamex Binh Duong.
Six years ago, the young players of Sanna Khanh Hoa-Bien Vietnam under the instruction of coach Vo Dinh Tan made their debut in V-League 1 and impressed their opponents and football fans in Vietnam with their energetic style of play.
