The press conference of the 62nd Tien Phong Marathon National Championship 2021 took place recently in Pleiku City.
The tournament is slated to take place from March 25 to 29 with the participation of more than 5,000 male and female athletes from clubs, provinces, cities and sectors over the country. The athletes will compete in advanced event and movement event with distances of 5km, 10km, 21km (semi-marathon), and 42km (marathon). In the advanced event, the athletes will battle out for individual and team medals; in the movement event, they will compete for individual medals only.

The tournament’s total prize is over VND800 million, including over VND500 million in cash and in-kind prizes worth VND300 million from the sponsors.
The tournament is jointly organized by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, Vietnam Athletics Federation, Tien Phong Newspaper, and Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee.
Khanh Hoa Province will field a team of four coaches and 18 male and female athletes, competing in the advanced event (professional women’s 5km, junior women’s 5km, junior men’s 10km, women's marathon) and movement event (women’s 5km, men’s 10km).
