On the occasion of Laos’ traditional New Year Bunpimay and Cambodia’s traditional New Year Chol Chnam Thmay, on April 13, Khanh Hoa Union of Friendship Organizations held a friendly volleyball contest for Lao and Cambodian students in Khanh Hoa Province. The event saw the attendance of Ho Van Mung, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the provincial Department of Propaganda and Training; representatives of universities and academies in the province.

The contest was joined by six teams of Lao and Cambodian students, who are studying in Naval Academy, Nha Trang University, Telecommunications University, Air Force Officers’ College; Vietnamese students at Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy, Nha Trang Technical and Technological College.
The contest aimed to show the concern of Khanh Hoa people to Lao and Cambodian students, who were away from home during their traditional New Year.

About 180 Lao and Cambodian students are studying at the universities and academies in Khanh Hoa. Every year, Khanh Hoa Union of Friendship Organizations often holds many exchange activities and meetings for the international students.
