The most exciting match in round 4 was the competition between defending champions Thai Son Nam and rookies Hung Gia Khang Dak Lak. The hosts Hung Gia Khang Dak Lak could not compare to long-standing Thai Son Nam, who have won many achievements. However, the hosts surprised their opponents and spectators with their unexpectedly good performance. They played equally with the defending champions in strong fighting spirit, forcing the visitors to sweat a lot of time. Thai Son Nam started the match on the front foot and have the opening goal thanks to Thinh Phat, but they paid for their unfocused defense by two consecutive goals scored by captain Ho Duy Hai of Hung Gia Khang Dak Lak. Unexpectedly conceding two goals, Thai Son Nam pushed forward for goals, but the solid defense of Hung Gia Khang Dak Lak cancelled their efforts. It was just until the hosts became exhausted, Thai Son Nam, with their experience and skill superiority, could find a leveler and come from behind successfully with a winning goal.

Coach Pham Minh Giang of Thai Son Nam, after the match, said: “This was really a difficult match for us. This year’s teams are markedly stronger, so there haven’t been any easy matches”. Thai Son Nam have got three wins, nine points and are at fourth on the table. Meanwhile, Hung Gia Khang Dak Lak have had three losses in a row, currently occupying the last but one position with one point.
Thai Son Bac also had a hard-fought win against young players of Quang Nam in round 4. Thai Son Bac triumphed 1-0 over Quang Nam thanks to the only successful strike made by Tran Quang Vu. This victory helped Thai Son Bac continue their streak of four unbeaten matches, getting ten points and are holding 3rd place.
In this round, both Zetbit Saigon and Sahako won against their opponents to continue their unbeaten streak of four matches. On April 17, Khong Dinh Hung and Tran Van Toan scored two goals, helping Sahako beat Sanvinest Khanh Hoa 2-1. Nguyen Kim Thuan pulled one back for Sanvinest Khanh Hoa. After this match, Sahako continued to lead the table with 10 points, ahead of Thai Son Bac in terms of goal difference. Sanvinest Khanh Hoa are still in fifth position on six points.
In the match between Zetbit Saigon and Tan Hiep Hung, which ended 4-1 for Zetbit Saigon, Phung Trong Luan made a hat-trick, Tran Tuyen scored one goal, and Nguyen Cong Hai of Tan Hiep Hung scored an own goal. The win has left Zetbit Saigon in second position on six points same with Thai Son Bac and Sahako. Tan Hiep Hung have got four points and are sitting at sixth.
The only draw in this round was the match between the two teams in the bottom half of the table, Cao Bang and Hieu Hoa Da Nang. It was a thrilling match which ended 4-4. This draw earned Cao Bang, who are at the bottom, their first point. Meanwhile, Hieu Hoa Da Nang have had the second draw, no win, getting two points and temporarily place 8th.
