The highlight in the last round of the tournament was the final match between the 2020 champions Thai Son Nam and Sahako at Thai Son Nam Sports Arena (Ho Chi Minh City) on December 5. Before the match, Thai Son Nam had 46 points, one point above Sahako. Therefore, they needed only one draw to secure the championship. Meanwhile, Sahako had to win the match in order to have more points than their rivals.

Starting the match with high determination, Sahako took advantage with the opener thanks to Y Zen Nie Kdam. Thai Son Nam went ahead with two goals of Anh Duy. After that, goalkeeper Ho Van Y, who is playing for the national team, scored the last goal of the match, helping Thai Son Nam successfully come back from a goal down to beat Sahako 3-1.
With this win, Thai Son Nam won the 2021 championship with 49 points after 16 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss, scoring 61 goals and conceded only 10 goals. Sahako finished second in the regret of Coach Nguyen Tuan Anh and the players. In the first leg, Sahako consecutively overcame Thai Son Nam to lead the standing.
