V.League 1 round 6: Khanh Hoa FC to strive for away point

H.N

After the draw with Thep Xanh Nam Dinh last weekend, Khanh Hoa FC will strive to get point at the field of Hoang Anh Gia Lai in round 6 of V.League 1-2023 at 5pm on April 11.

In the press conference after the match with Thep Xanh Nam Dinh at Thien Truong Stadium, coach Vo Dinh Tan of Khanh Hoa FC expressed his displeasure with the decision of the referee awarding Thep Xanh Nam Dinh a penalty kick in the injury time. This penalty kick came from a controversial situation where the host team’s striker collided with Khanh Hoa FC’s goalkeeper. Before that, the visitors Khanh Hoa FC played very well, blocking the attacks of the hosts and was leading 1-0. The decision of the referee helped Thep Xanh Nam Dinh convert the situation from being very likely to concede the first loss of the season to getting 1 point and staying firmly among the top-flight teams.

In round 6, Khanh Hoa FC travel to the highland region to play Hoang Anh Gia Lai. In the years from 2015 to 2019 when Khanh Hoa FC weren’t relegated to V.League 2 yet, the clashes between Khanh Hoa FC and Hoang Anh Gia Lai often had many goals. In all the matches playing each other in the 3 seasons from 2017 - 2019, except for their only draw, Khanh Hoa FC won 3 matches, and Hoang Anh Gia Lai won 2 matches. When playing Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa FC have never been considered inferior to the opponents. Therefore, if playing with high concentration, Khanh Hoa FC are in contention to secure away point at Pleiku Stadium.

Both the home team and the away team aim for a win, but for Khanh Hoa FC, getting 1 point in this match is considered a success.
