Sanvinest Khanh Hoa proved their competence and affirmed their position in domestic beach volleyball when they won all gold medals in men’s and women’s events at National 2x2 Beach Volleyball Championship 2023 (taking place in Nha Trang City on June 21-25).

The tournament provided people in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa an occasion to see the competitions of competent beach volleyball athletes of Khanh Hoa at a national tournament after a long time. Although the matches took place outside in hot weather, a lot of local people came to the beach volleyball ground of Sanvinest Khanh Hoa to see the matches and cheered for their home team.
As said by Nguyen Tuan Thanh, deputy director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, head of the organization committee of National 2x2 Beach Volleyball Championship 2023, the tournament had high quality, bringing together the best beach volleyball athletes from provinces, cities and sectors nationwide such as Ho Chi Minh City, 4th Army Corps, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Soc Trang, Phu Yen, Ben Tre, and Sanvinest Khanh Hoa. Through the tournament, besides evaluating the training quality of the participating teams, the organization committee also selected outstanding athletes for the national teams to prepare for upcoming international tournaments. The tournament also aimed to promote the beach volleyball tournament in Khanh Hoa.
Khanh Hoa has always been rated the best locality in Vietnam in term of beach volleyball. Khanh Hoa athletes have achieved numerous gold medals at national tournaments and sports events and are often the main force of the national teams at SEA Games and Asian beach sports festivals. In recent two years, other localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and Ba Ria-Vung Tau have given strong investment in this sport, making the national championships more exciting. Earlier this year, at National Tour 1 Tournament held in Hai Phong, Khanh Hoa athletes lost the championship to Ho Chi Minh City athletes. Therefore, it could be said that National 2x2 Beach Volleyball Championship 2023 was an opportunity for Khanh Hoa athletes to regain their position.

After three days of preliminary round, four pairs of athletes of Sanvinest Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho proceed to the finals of men's and women's events. The final match of men's event saw the competition between the pair of athletes Doan Gia Luan - Tran Van Viet (Sanvinest Khanh Hoa) and Nguyen Ba Truong Dang - Nguyen Lam Toi (Ho Chi Minh City). Meanwhile, in women's final, Nguyen Le Thi Tuong Vy - Vu Ngoc Lan Nguyen of Sanvinest Khanh Hoa played Dinh Thi My Nga - Chau Ngoc Lan of Can Tho. These pairs of athletes were evenly matched, as evaluated by experts. They had played against each other several times at national tournaments before. Both men's and women's final matches were exciting as expected. Finally, with high concentration and determination, both male and female athletes of Sanvinest Khanh Hoa performed excellently and secured convincing wins with scores of 2-0 against Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho to bring home gold medals. Sanvinest Khanh Hoa also got two bronze medals in men's and women's events; Sanvinest Khanh Hoa Nguyen Le Thi Tuong Vy and Doan Gia Luan won the title of the best players of the tournament.
