Khanh Hoa FC preparing for new season

Khanh Hoa FC are trying their best to overcome difficulties and prepare for the new season of V.League 1 scheduled for the end of October. 


After finishing the 2023 season with a spot in the new season, Khanh Hoa FC have gone through a lot of difficulties. Many of their key players, including foreign and domestic ones, have left the team due to financial matters caused by the team’s former managing unit. The departure of the key players and the silence of the coach board in the transfer market before the season have raised concerns about the team.

The province’s leadership have supported to solve the difficulties of Khanh Hoa FC. The team have new managing unit; the lights at their home field, 19-8 Nha Trang Stadium, have been changed to 108 quality sets of sports field lights. Besides, in order to reduce the financial pressure on the team’s sponsor, the province decided to form the mobilization committee "Khanh Hoa Football Development Funds" to call for support from the community and businesses to contribute to the development of Khanh Hoa’s football.

As said by Vo Dinh Tan, head coach of Khanh Hoa FC, the coach board have sought for new quality players after many players left after the 2023 season. The new players expected to join Khanh Hoa FC in the new season include left midfielder Truong Quoc Minh, who is playing for the 3rd and 4th ranked teams in Denmark and used to play for Denmark’s national futsal team; and foreign players namely forwarders Leazard Watz Landy (U20 Haiti) and Mamadou Guirasay (U23 Guinea), midfielder Alie Sesay (used to play for Leicester City and played in Premier League).

With the leave of a lot of players, Khanh Hoa FC have to rebuild the team as well as their playing style. "After one month of probation, most of the new players have adjusted to the team's playing style, which was showed in the two recent friendly matches with Saigon and Becamex Binh Duong," said Vo Dinh Tan.

Reportedly, Khanh Hoa FC have finalized the register for the new season of V.League 1.
