60 golfers compete in Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023

The pre-tournament press conference of Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023 took place at the Convention Center Nha Trang of Vinpearl Nha Trang on November 27.

Present at the event were Dinh Van Thieu, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; the representatives of the provincial departments, sectors; golf associations of some provinces and cities in the country; female player of the national volleyball team Pham Thi Kim Hue; famous former player of the national male football team Nguyen Hong Son; 60 world’s golf legends; and Vietnamese professional and amateur golfers.

Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023 takes place from November 27 to December 2 at Vinpearl Golf Nha Trang. Within the framework of the tournament, 2 friendly rounds of Pro Am - Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023 takes place on November 28-29 with the participation of 24 world's legendary golfers and 72 Vietnamese amateur golfers. The golfers are divided into 24 teams; each team has 1 legendary golfer and 3 amateur golfers playing 18 holes in Scramble stroke play format, with no handicap used in 1 round. The team with the lowest gross score is the winner.

60 world’s golf legends such as Michael Campbell, Euan McIntosh, Emanuele Canonica, John Price, James Kingston, Adilson Da Silva, Stephen Dodd, Joakim Haeggman, Peter Baker, and Markus Brier will compete with their perfect golf swing.

On the main competition days from November 30 to December 2, 60 legendary golfers and 30 amateur golfers will be divided into 30 teams. 15 amateur golfers with the lowest gross scores will compete for Best Amateur prize on December 2. The group of legendary golfers will compete to decide the winner of Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023.

Legendary golfers in trophy parade event

The total prize value is up to VND31 billion, including cash prize of USD730,000, equivalent to VND18 billion. The Top 3 will receive a prize of up to USD200,000, equivalent to nearly VND5 billion . The champion will be given a valuable prize and the prestigious trophy. Besides, there are 14 Hole In One prizes, 6 VinFast VF 9, and 8 other prizes with a total value of more than VND13 billion.

Prior to the press conference, the organization committee had held trophy parade event, from Tram Huong Tower, along Tran Phu Street to Vinpearl Nha Trang.

Speaking at the conference, Dinh Van Thieu gave a speech of welcome to the world’s legendary golfers. Khanh Hoa Province creates favorable conditions for Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023, a part of the Legends Tour organized for the first time in Vietnam as well as Southeast Asia, to be successfully organized.
