Final round of national football championship for male students to take place in Nha Trang

16 teams passing the preliminary round of the national football championship for male students – SV Cup 2023 will compete in the final round scheduled to take place in Nha Trang City from December 16 to 27.

Nha Trang University are ready for the final round of SV Cup 2023

The finalists include 15 teams from the northern, southern and central region and the host Nha Trang University. With the message "For a green future", the national football championship for male students organized by the Ministry of Education and Training is expected to become a useful, exciting and top-level playground for students in the country. When the championship was first organized in 2014, it received positive response and attracted a lot of university football teams over the country. This year, Nha Trang University as the host the tournament has automatically progressed to the final round.

The 2023 edition teams will gather in Nha Trang from December 12 to 15 to participate in the official opening ceremony at the artificial football field of Nha Trang University on December 16. The outstanding teams among the 16 final teams are Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports (first-placed team in round 2 of groups A, B, C of the northern region preliminary round; runner-up of the 2022 championship); Thuy Loi University (top place in groups D, E, F of the northern region preliminary round; third place last season); Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (first place in Group D of the southern region preliminary round; top 4 of the 2022 championship).

Besides, some teams which have advanced to the finals of the national football championship for male students for the first time such as Van Hien University, Hanoi National University of Education, Nong Lam University, and Saigon Technology University showed their competence in the preliminary and could make surprises in the final round. Hanoi National University of Education played excellently in the northern region preliminary round and made the University of Transport and Communications former champions. Van Hien University beat Ton Duc Thang University, who have advanced to the final round for many times, in the 80th minute of Group E last match of the southern region to secure a spot in the finals of the 2023 edition. Saigon Technology University claimed the last place in the final round of the southern region after overcoming the 2022 preliminary round runners-up HCMC University of Technology and Education. 

With these competent debutants, the final round of the 2023 national football championship for male students – SV Cup 2023 promises to witness exciting competitions.
