LS Cup 2023: Opportunity for Sanvinest Khanh Hoa to gain experience

Sanvinest Khanh Hoa have gathered in Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for Ho Chi Minh City Open Futsal Tournament - LS Cup 2023. With the participation of strong futsal teams of Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia, the tournament is a good opportunity for Sanvinest Khanh Hoa to gain experience and improve their skills to prepare for season 2024. 

The tournament is organized by Ho Chi Minh City Futsal Federation, taking place from December 23 to 29 at Lanh Binh Thang Stadium, District 11 with the participation of 5 top domestic futsal teams and 3 guest teams from Thailand and Malaysia. The teams will be divided into 2 groups and compete in a round-robin format.  The 2 best teams of each group will enter the semi-finals. Group A has Sahako FC, Thai Son Bac and Cao Bang (Vietnam) and Thammasat Statilion (Thailand); Group B includes Thai Son Nam - Ho Chi Minh City and Sanvinest Khanh Hoa (Vietnam), Black Pearl Utd (Thailand), and Selangor Mac (Malaysia).

Sanvinest Khanh Hoa players have been practicing to acclimate to the new court. Head coach of Sanvinest Khanh Hoa, Mai Thanh Dat, highly rates the quality of the tournament and also highly appreciates having this opportunity for his players to play and learn from other strong teams in and outside the country.

In Group B, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa will face powerful teams. In This group, Thai Son Nam, who have had a successful 2023 season with two trophies at the national championship and national cup, expect a strong challenge against the two representatives from Thailand and Malaysia get one of a two place to the semi-final. Black Pearl Utd were the runners-up at Thai League 2023; Selangor Mac finished Malaysia’s futsal championship as third-placed team.

In season 2023, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa under the instruction of former player Mai Thanh Dat finished fourth at the national futsal championship. The team takes part in Ho Chi Minh City Open Futsal Tournament - LS Cup 2023 with most of the players playing in the national futsal championship and national cup 2023. Sanvinest Khanh Hoa meet Selangor Mac on the opening day December 23, Thai Son Nam on December 24, and Black Pearl Utd on December 25.
