Sanest Khanh Hoa volleyball club is going to play a friendly match with Vasikha Club of Cambodia in the opening ceremony of Cambodia’s volleyball championship on January 12 at the invitation of the Volleyball Federation of Cambodia.

Sanest Khanh Hoa ended the 2023 season successfully with their 4th trophy of the national volleyball championship held in Nha Trang City. As the champions, they will represent Vietnam’s volleyball to take part in the 2024 Asian Men’s Club Championships. From the beginning of 2024, Sanest Khanh Hoa made plan for practicing and training tournaments in and outside the country. Taking the invitation of the Volleyball Federation of Cambodia to play the friendly match with Vasikha Club in the opening ceremony of Cambodia’s volleyball championship is also a planned activity of Sanest Khanh Hoa for the new season.
This is not the first time Sanest Khanh Hoa has accepted the invitation to play friendly matches in Cambodia. Six years ago, Sanest Khanh Hoa also travelled to Cambodia to play friendly matches with Cambodian royal police team. In recent years, Cambodia’s men’s volleyball has made notable progress. In SEA Games 31 and 32, the national male volleyball team of Cambodia got bronze medal and silver medal respectively. Reportedly, except for the departure of middle hitter Pham Thai Hung, the line-up of Sanest Khanh Hoa in the season 2024 almost remains the same. Two players Quoc Doan and Thanh Phuong, who were on loan to Ha Tinh club last season, will return Sanest Khanh Hoa this season. Additionally, outside hitter Ngo Van Kieu will continue to contribute to the team in a new role, member of the coaching board.
After the friendly match with Vasikha Club, Sanest Khanh Hoa will continue to practice for stage 1 of the national volleyball championship 2024 scheduled to take place in Ha Tinh Province on March. The club aims to defend the champion and reach the top 4 of the 2024 Asian Men’s Club Championships.
