Opportunity for SK Pearlnest Khanh Hoa to enter national A-class volleyball tournament semi-finals

1 win and 1 loss in the group stage of the ongoing final round of the national A-Class volleyball tournament 2024 in Tra Vinh Province and the upcoming match against average Ben Tre (on October 16) are giving SK Pearlnest Khanh Hoa the opportunity to progress to the semi-finals.

In the final round of the national A-Class volleyball tournament 2024, SK Pearlnest Khanh Hoa are in Group A with Ho Chi Minh City, Mobile Police Command and Ben Tre. The first team in Group A winning the ticket to the semi-finals was Ho Chi Minh City after they had won 2 consecutive wins against Ben Tre and SK Pearlnest Khanh Hoa. The remaining ticket will be decided after the match between SK Pearlnest Khanh Hoa and Ben Tre, who both have won 1 and lost 1.

In terms of strength, both SK Pearlnest Khanh Hoa and Ben Tre are not highly rated in this tournament. After being relegated to Division A in the 2022 season, Ben Tre have shown little interest in investment for promotion. Instead, they have focused on developing young athletes and maintaining their stay in Division A, which is considered more suitable for them. Ben Tre are placing third on the rankings and will rise to second and progress to the semi-finals if they win over SK Pearlnest Khanh Hoa in the upcoming match. Otherwise, Ben Tre will be eliminated. 

With the goal of providing opportunities for young athletes to play and gain experience, SK Pearlnest Khanh Hoa don’t have the ambition of winning the championship to be promoted. However, Coach Trieu Tu Thien and his team have tried to perform well in each match. As said by coach Trieu Tu Thien, Ben Tre are not too strong, but they have experience as most of their athletes have played together for many years. With the addition of athletes from the first-division team such as Van Tien, Van Phong, and Ngo Van Kieu, SK Pearlnest Khanh are confident of achieving a good result in the upcoming match against Ben Tre.
