Swing for Children Golf Tournament 2024 organized by VPS Golf Joint Stock Company (VPS GOLF) took place at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course (Ho Chi Minh City) recently. This tournament was intended for poor children in the districts of Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh (Khanh Hoa Province).

According to Hoang Huu Cuong, chairman of the board of directors of VPS GOLF, the tournament aimed to donate 100 sets of computers and schools equipment to schools in Khanh Son District and Khanh Vinh District in order to support digital transformation and create better learning conditions for children in the mountainous areas.

The first edition of Swing for Children Golf Tournament 2024 attracted more than 160 golfers. In addition to its fundraising purpose, the tournament also aimed to bring quality competition experiences to the golfers.

The golfers were divided into 4 groups (A, B, C and women's group) according to the golfers’ Handicap Index scoring record. The winner of Hole-In-One (HIO) prize received an award worth VND3 billion, including a Mercedes-Benz C200 and many other valuable gifts. The champion was given trophy and prizes worth VND88. Additionally, the first-place winner in each group got a trophy and prizes worth VND30 million; each second-place winner received trophy and prizes worth VND20 million; each third-place winner was awarded trophy and VND prizes worth 12 million. Seven technical awards included a trophy and prizes worth VND8 million each.

At the gala dinner, 160 golfers and tournament’s sponsors participated in an auction to provide computers for disadvantaged pupils and 2,600 packages of milk for children in Khanh Son District and Khanh Vinh District. These meaningful gifts aim to improve educational opportunities and show love for people in disadvantaged areas.
