On February 21, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held a meeting with some provincial departments, sectors and Nha Trang City, leaders of Tien Phong Newspaper about joint organization of Tien Phong National Marathon & Long Distance Championship 2026.
Present at the meeting were Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee’s Party Committee. Dinh Van Thieu - Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper proposed that Khanh Hoa Province cooperate and support in organizing the 67th edition of the tournament in Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan approves the joint organization of Tien Phong National Marathon & Long Distance Championship 2026.
The tournament is expected to take place in Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa in 3 days of March 2026, joined by 15,000 - 16,000 runners. The tournament includes 4 distances of 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km with 2 events of advance and movement. Within the framework of the tournament, there are also other activities to introduce the image and beauty of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa to domestic and foreign tourists such as flag-raising ceremonies, food and music festivals, and charity activities.
Tien Phong National Marathon & Long Distance Championship has the longest tradition in Vietnam. It is a part of the official competition system of Vietnam Athletics Federation, attracting a large number of professional athletes.
