Notable runners at Nha Trang Night Run Sanvinest - Khanh Hoa Newspaper 2024

Nha Trang Night Run Sanvinest - Khanh Hoa Newspaper 2024 featured many foreign runners from countries over the world. Many of them shared a common purpose: running for fun and health, experiencing local culture and connecting with local people. From countries, which are thousands of miles from Vietnam such as France and Russia, the participation of foreign runners added unique color and contributed to the impressive first night run in Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa.

Male foreign runner with best result

Anthony Debant (French) is probably a familiar name to football fans in Vietnam because he used to be the fitness coach of U19 Hoang Anh Gia Lai. Taking part in Nha Trang Night Run Sanvinest - Khanh Hoa Newspaper 2024, Anthony Debant together with more than 3,150 domestic and foreign runners heated up the atmosphere of the weekend night of December 2024 in the coastal city. He was the first foreign runner finishing 10km event and was the male foreign runner with the best result at Nha Trang Night Run Sanvinest - Khanh Hoa Newspaper 2024.

“I am very excited at getting this achievement. Working in sports industry is my advantage at this race. I major in football but I love running and am delighted to participate in the first night run held in Nha Trang and enjoy this vibrant atmosphere with local people.  The coastal running route in Nha Trang is great. I love Nha Trang beach, especially the white sand. The most interesting thing is running along the windy coastal street. Through this race, I also want convey a message about the benefits of running for fitness, physical and spiritual health. I will take part in the race again if I come to Nha Trang," said Anthony Debant.

The only foreign runner in the top 5

Finishing fifth in women's 10km, Russian runner Karina Popova was the only foreign runner reaching the top 5 at Nha Trang Night Run Sanvinest - Khanh Hoa Newspaper 2024. 

“I was touched and happy hearing my name announced as one of the top 5 winners, especially at a race held in Vietnam. It was a wonderful memory. As a professional athlete, this is an opportunity for me to practice and improve my personal achievements, and I am delighted with my result. The race is so impressive and the atmosphere of the run along the beach at night is very exciting. Nha Trang City is so charming. I love the city and the people here,” said Karina Popova.

Runner Igor from Russia was one of the outstanding foreign runners at Nha Trang Night Run Sanvinest - Khanh Hoa Newspaper 2024 as he had the most supporters. Many family members and his friends came to cheer for him. Igor was happy thanks to the support from his family and friends. They posed for photos together to capture memorable moments in the vibrant atmosphere of the first running race in Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa. “It was impressive. Nha Trang has given me unforgettable memories. The city is not only beautiful but also hospitable,” said Igor.
