Sanest Khanh Hoa volleyball team overcome difficulties to stay in league

Sanest Khanh Hoa volleyball team under head coach Ngo Van Kieu will have to strive much in the 2025 season in order to gain a good result to stay in the league.

The first round of the National Volleyball Championship Ca Mau Fertilizer Cup 2025 will officially kick off in Hanoi in just over a month. Currently, 16 teams, including 8 men's teams and 8 women's teams, are actively preparing for good results at the tournament. Sanest Khanh Hoa are actively practicing at Khanh Hoa Provincial Sports Technique Training Center. They are going to have a training session in the northern region at the end of February.

Over 17 years since their promotion in 2008, along with Border Guard, Trang An Ninh Binh, and The Cong Tan Cang, Sanest Khanh Hoa have always been among the top favorites for the championship in the national volleyball championships. However, Sanest Khanh Hoa and their new head coach Ngo Van Kieu are expected to face struggle in this year's season due to financial difficulties. Since the end of 2024, Sanest Khanh Hoa have witnessed the farewell of coach members and players, including many outstanding ones namely Thanh Thuan, Quoc Du, Dinh Van Tu, Dinh Nhu, Trien Chieu, and Duc Manh, who left the club after their contract ended.

Sanest Khanh Hoa have claimed 4 national championships and often progressed to the final match of domestic volleyball tournaments. However, the leave of the outstanding players will cause Sanest Khanh Hoa to struggle to overcome difficulties and stay in the league. Reportedly, Sanest Khanh Hoa have signed young players to fill the gaps left by departed players. “Although it will be hard, all the team members will try our best to stay in the league,” said head coach Ngo Van Kieu.

Besides young players, Sanest Khanh Hoa still have some senior players, who have been with the team for many years such as Van Tien, Trung Truc, Phuc Loc, Van Phuong, and Anh Tuan. Sanest Khanh Hoa will take part in the 2025 season without foreign players. According to head coach Ngo Van Kieu, the team’s direction will be decided based on the situation after the team’s upcoming training session.

In round 1 of the National Volleyball Championship Ca Mau Fertilizer Cup 2025 (scheduled to take place in Dong Anh District, Hanoi from March 22 to 31), Sanest Khanh Hoa play Lavie Long An on March 22, Hanoi on March 24, MB Border Guard on March 26, LP Bank Ninh Binh on March 28, and Ho Chi Minh City Police on March 30.

Khanh Hoa supporters hope that, under the leadership of Khanh Hoa volleyball’s icon Ngo Van Kieu, Sanest Khanh Hoa will overcome difficulties, play well and remain in the league.
