Major sports events to take place Nha Trang 

Many major national and international sports events, expected to attract thousands of athletes from across Vietnam and regional countries, will take place in Khanh Hoa Province in the near future. This will be a good opportunity for Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa to promote and showcase its image as an attractive tourist destination to domestic and international tourists.

The series of sports events taking place from May 2025 to March 2026 start with the 10th provincial sports festival, including 18 sports: basketball (3x3, 5x5), table tennis, beach volleyball, beach football, swimming, athletics, badminton, tug of war, pole pushing and martial arts (taekwondo, karate, vovinam), etc. Most of the events of the provincial sports festival will be held in Nha Trang City; vovinam tournament in Cam Lam District in July 2025; indoor volleyball tournament in Khanh Son District in September 2025; chess tournament in Ninh Hoa Town in February 2026; tug of war and stick pushing tournaments in Khanh Vinh District in March 2026.

Many exciting sports events take place in June as part of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2025. Notably among them is the first Nha Trang international beach volleyball tournament - Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Cup, scheduled to take place from June 5 to 8, joined by 8 Vietnam’s teams and 24 foreign teams (16 men's teams, 16 women's teams).

Other sports events include international beach football tournament - Khatoco Khanh Hoa Cup (June 8-10), joined by 4 to 5 domestic and international teams; the 2nd SeaStar Nha Trang Bay swimming race (June 13-15) joined by around 500 to 700 domestic and international athlete; Khanh Hoa basket boat swinging open race; the 11th International Day of Yoga celebration; the 2nd provincial unicorn lion dragon dance championship, paragliding performances and other sea sports events.

Following the events of Nha Trang Sea Festival, in July, Khanh Hoa features Victory Challenge 2025 sports and off-road race organized by Khanh Hoa Radio and Television Station, Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and sponsored partners. The race is expected to gather hundreds of racers. Khanh Hoa will also co-host the Southeast Asian taekwondo championship (scheduled for August) and international taekwondo club championship (scheduled for September). Furthermore, Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa will be the venue of the matches of Vietnam Professional Basketball League 5x5 (VBA), which has been halted for 1 year  due to format changes.
