Gold Star V.League 2-2024/25: Khatoco Khanh Hoa to face tough match in round 14

After the away win over Dong Nai at Dong Nai’s stadium in round 13 of Gold Star V.League 2-2024/25, Khatoco Khanh Hoa are going to receive Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc in round 14 (taking place on April 12). Playing against a strong team, who is striving for a win to remain stably in the leading positions.

Round 14 is not an easy round for the teams in the bottom half of the rankings as they have to face strong opponents in the leading group. Long An (11 points, 8th place) will play at home against Phu Dong Ninh Binh (36 points, 1st place); second-to-last Hue (8 points) will receive bottom-placed Dong Nai (6 points); Khatoco Khanh Hoa (13 points, 5th place) are going to receive Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc (27 points, 2nd place); Hoa Binh (8 points, 9th place) will receive PVF - People's Public Security (24 points, 3rd place).

The top three positions in the league standings have been almost finalized, with Phu Dong Ninh Binh on a dominant run, getting 12 wins in a row, breaking away from second-placed Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc and third-placed PVF - People's Public Security. In Round 14, the top three teams are poised for wins against their weaker opponents. There is just a small chance for the lower-ranked teams namely Long An, Hoa Binh and Khatoco Khanh Hoa to grasp a win against stronger opponents in round 14; however, with home advantage, they can keep their hope for points.

The 1-0 win against Dong Nai was the first away win of Khatoco Khanh Hoa this season and was also their first away win in a professional tournament after nearly a year and a half (from November 2023 to present).  Meanwhile, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc, after losing to Phu Dong Ninh Binh in round 9, are showing a strong determination and are striving to win in order to consolidate their 2nd place and ensure the promotion play-off. In the last 3 matches, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc had 2 wins and 1 draw of 2-2 against third-placed PVF - People's Police. In round 13, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc saw the return of well-known Cong Phuong, who had been on the sidelines for a long time due to injuries. Despite not finding the net, Phuong significantly contributed to Binh Phuoc's 2-0 win against Junior Ho Chi Minh City.

Hopefully, coach Tran Trong Binh and his team Khatoco Khanh Hoa will perform well in the upcoming match against Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc to get at least 1 point.
