Exciting Khanh Hoa’s beach football tournament 2025

The increase in number of teams, exciting matches and enthusiastic supporters contributed to the success of the beach football tournament 2025 of Khanh Hoa Province.

Khanh Hoa’s beach football tournament 2025 organized by the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism from May 8 to 12, attracted 7 teams from localities and clubs with strong football movements in the province including Nha Trang City, Cam Ranh City, Khanh Son District, Khanh Vinh District, Ngan Elevator Club, TK Gaming FC,  and T&T Anh Thu. The number of participating teams increased by 3 teams compared to the 2024 tournament. As said by Nguyen Tuan Thanh, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, this year’s tournament also saw a relatively good preparation from the teams, resulting in exciting and thrilling matches. This will be the foundation for the province’s sports sector to prepare for hosting the national beach football championship on the occasion of the 2025 Culture and Sea Tourism Festival in June.

After 3 years, people loving beach football, a forte of Khanh Hoa, in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province could see exciting matches and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of a provincial beach football tournament. According to statistics from the tournament's organizing board, after 13 matches (group stage, semi-finals, finals), there were 96 goals scored, an average of 7 goals/match. In addition to the teams of localities as in the previous years, this year’s tournament saw the teams sponsored by businesses. This helped improve the competitiveness and quality of the tournament.

The debutants TK Gaming FC overcame other teams in the group stage and semi-finals to advance to the final match playing against strong opponents Nha Trang City. Although consisting of members and former members of the national beach football and futsal teams, Nha Trang City had a tough match, were drawn 3-3 in 3 main halves and extra period and only won against TK Gaming FC in penalty shootout. Reportedly, the players of Nha Trang City have been selected as the core ones to prepare for the national beach football championship held in Nha Trang in June.

Nha Trang City win Khanh Hoa’s beach football tournament 2025

Vietnam Football Federation has issued the regulations for the 2025 national beach football championship, scheduled to take place in Nha Trang City from June 7 to 17 with the participation of 5 teams Binh Dinh, Tuy Hoa - Phu Yen, Da Nang, Vietfootball and Khanh Hoa. Of the total 14 editions the national beach football tournament sine 2009, Khanh Hoa have won 6 championship titles; Da Nang won 5 editions. 

Hosting the national beach football championship on the occasion of the 2025 Culture and Sea Tourism Festival not only creates opportunity for Khanh Hoa to revive its beach football movement but also to introduce and promote the image of local tourism, sports and entertainment to domestic and internatonal tourists.
