Appealing Sea Star Nha Trang swimming race

The second sedition of Sea Star Nha Trang swimming race was appealing and attracted more than 800 domestic and international participants (more than double compared to last year). This showed the appeal of the beautiful beach of Nha Trang City as the venue for swimming races.

Most of the domestic and international swimmers participating in the 2025 Sea Star Nha Trang swimming race love the summer weather in Nha Trang with sunshine, clear and calm water, which is suitable for a swimming race. As said by Nguyen Tuan Thanh, deputy director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, this year’s race had two new swimming distances of 5km and 10km (from Nha Trang beach to Vinpearl), so it attracted double number of swimmers, notably more than 300 swimmers in 5km distance. In the future, the department will continue to maintain the organization of Sea Star Nha Trang swimming race to make it an attractive tourism product in Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa.

The 2025 edition of Sea Star Nha Trang swimming race also featured the participation of many athletes who used to take part in domestic and international races. Vo Chi Trung (from Ho Chi Minh City), who finished in top 10 at a sea swimming race in Thailand, took the first prize in 5km distance of Sea Star Nha Trang swimming race 2025. Trung was happy that he won the highest prize right at his first time taking part in the race in Nha Trang. “The beautiful and calm waters of Nha Trang this season is favorable for those who love swimming. I hope, next year, the race continues to be held," added Trung.

Swimmers under 16 years old swimming 500m at Sea Star Nha Trang swimming race 2025

Swimmer Nguyen Dang Khoa, a swimming coach at a swimming club in Ho Chi Minh City, has recently undergone a throat surgery. Managing to take part in Sea Star Nha Trang swimming race 2025 and finally achieved the first prize in 10km distance showed his great determination and passion for swimming.

Especially, the 2025 Sea Star Nha Trang swimming race featured the attendance of Vietnam’s legendary swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien. Her participation was an inspiration for people loving swimming and helped promote the race widely.

After 3 days of competition (June 20 to 22), the 2025 Sea Star Nha Trang swimming race ended successfully. The organizing committee gave 102 prizes to outstanding swimmers with a total value of more than VND200 million.
