Exciting international beach tournament

The first edition of Nha Trang International Men's and Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament Sanest Salanganes Nest, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa Cup 2025 attracts 32 teams of Vietnam and other countries. The tournament has helped create an exciting atmosphere in the coastal city of Nha Trang during the ongoing 2025 Culture and Sea Tourism Festival 2025. In addition to the main activities taking place in three nights of the festival (from June 7 to 9) at 2-4 Square, many sports tournaments organized by the province, Nha Trang City and businesses enterprises (sea swimming competition, sea bathing festival, beach football tournament, sports and off-road race, golf tournaments) are contributing to a wonderful experience for local people and tourists during the summer. Among them, Nha Trang International Men's and Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament Sanest Salanganes Nest, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa Cup, kicking off on June 5, is considered the most exciting sports tournament.

According to Nguyen Tuan Thanh, deputy director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, deputy head of the organizing committee, the tournament opens for male and female players, so that it has attracted many strong teams in and outside the country. The tournament is not only a sports playground for beach volleyball players but also an opportunity for Nha Trang Khanh Hoa to promote local tourism, sea sports in general and beach volleyball in particular.

More than ten years ago, Nha Trang Khanh Hoa hosted an international beach volleyball tournament as part of Sea Festival. However, that tournament was limited to women players with only 10 participating teams. The number of 32 teams at this year’s tournament proves the attraction of the tournament. "I feel so excited to participate in a tournament in such a wonderfully beautiful coastal city," said Eliza, a player from Singapore, on her first trip to Nha Trang. According to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, most of the international teams such as Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore sent their key athletes to the tournament in Nha Trang as part of their preparations for the 2025 SEA Games. For the domestic teams, the federation also fielded players from the national and junior national teams to the tournament to prepare for the upcoming Asian youth tournaments and SEA Games 2025 at the end of the year.

In addition, localities with strong beach volleyball movements in the country such as Ho Chi Minh City, Kien Giang, Can Tho and host team Sanest, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa also sent their strongest forces to the international tournament. The even competence of the participating teams and the highly appreciated professional quality of the tournament have brought spectators exciting competitions.
