Khatoco Khanh Hoa ready for new season

With a later start compared to most teams in the 2025-2026 National First Division, Khatoco Khanh Hoa have been actively preparing for the new season.

The 2025-2026 National First Division season will official start in just a few weeks. After some initial difficulties, Khatoco Khanh Hoa can continue participating in the league thanks to the support of provincial authorities and sponsors. Although this is good news for both Khatoco Khanh Hoa and their fans, many are worried about the club’s prospects. With a limited number of players remaining, the club is facing a challenge of recruiting an entire new squad before the league kicks off.

After the 2025 season ends, all coaching staff and players of Khatoco Khanh Hoa were out of contract. Khatoco Khanh Hoa faced significant financial difficulties at that time, causing the club couldn’t re-sign key players immediately to prepare for the next season. Fortunately, those issues were resolved, and the club will continue participating in the league. As said by Nguyen Phuong Tuan, director of Khatoco Khanh Hoa Club, as soon as the province granted Khatoco permission to continue managing the club, they immediately began resembling the team. Despite limited time for preparation, Khatoco Khanh Hoa’s management and coaching staff have been proactive, and established the team’s core line-up, ready to enter the new season.

Khatoco Khanh Hoa has finalized their coaching staff and a roster of 26 players for the 2025-2026 First Division season. The players have already convened for training and are preparing for a preseason tour. Compared to other teams, Khatoco Khanh Hoa started preparation late. Reportedly, most of Khatoco Khanh Hoa players this season are newly recruited ones; only about 40% were on the team last year. Van Tung, who used to play for Khanh Hoa in V.League 1, returns to Khatoco Khanh Hoa this season.

According to the plan, at the end of August, Khatoco Khanh Hoa will play friendly matches with Ho Chi Minh City, Long An and junior Ho Chi Minh City.

Last season, Khatoco Khanh Hoa overcame a difficult start and finished in top 5 with a squad of only average quality.
