Hanoi Buffaloes had a 3-0 win against Cantho Catfish in a group stage match at Tan Binh Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City) recently, thereby extending their unbeaten streak of matches to 16. Hanoi Buffaloes hasn’t conceded any defeat this season.

A win would help Cantho Catfish improve their result for an advantage in the next round as well as assert themselves as the true rival to Buffaloes in the championship race. Meanwhile, Hanoi Buffaloes is chasing a win to maintain their season record as the undefeated team in the group stage.

Both teams fielded their strongest starting lineups. Hanoi Buffaloes took control early with an aggressive attack the rim and effective defense. This was the first of three scheduled matches between the two teams in the group stage this season. With this home win, Nha Trang Dolphins now sit in second place in the standings with a record of 10 wins and 5 losses. Danang Dragons are currently in fifth place with 8 wins and 8 losses.

Nha Trang Dolphins and Danang Dragon still have 2 matches ahead in the group stage on August 22 and 24 to compete for a place in the play-off round.
