Sanest Khanh Hoa stay in the league

H.N

Getting 9 points after 3 wins and 2 losses, Sanest Khanh Hoa succeeded in the relegation battle, staying in LPBank National Volleyball Championship 2025.

The ranking, third-place and championship matches of LPBank 2025 National Volleyball Championship have recently concluded at Ninh Binh provincial sports arena. In men's event, the final match (held on October 15) saw Bien Phong MB playing against The Cong Tan Cang; the third-place match (on October 16) was between LPBank Ninh Binh and Ho Chi Minh City Police. In men's ranking round, Lavie Tay Ninh, with a record of 1 win and 4 losses and 4 points, were relegated to the 2026 A-Division league.  Sanest Khanh Hoa, Da Nang and Hanoi successfully stay in the league. Therefore, the results of the remaining matches of this ranking round, including Sanest Khanh Hoa and Da Nang (October 15) and Hanoi vs. Lavie Tay Ninh (October 16), won’t significantly affect the ranking of these teams.

In the 2025 season, Sanest Khanh Hoa successfully overcame difficulties and achieved their goal of avoiding relegation. This season also marked the debut of Ngo Van Kieu as the team's head coach, a challenge for the young coach, who had dedicated his player career to Sanest Khanh Hoa. Sanest Khanh Hoa has always been a top-four contender at the national volleyball championships. They won the championship in 2008, 2017, 2020 and 2023; finished second in 2024. However, following last season, Sanest Khanh Hoa have faced extreme hardship as many of their key players departed due to expiring contracts. Coach Bui Quang Ngoc also quit his job as the head coach of Sanest Khanh Hoa.

In the eight-team round-robin stage, despite manpower shortage, the efforts of core players such as Van Tien, Trung Truc, Thanh Phuong, Quoc Doan, Xuan Tan, Quang Doan, and Pereyra yielded encouraging results. They got 9 points from 3 wins and 4 losses, placing 5th. This meant they couldn’t advance to the championship final round and instead played the ranking round to fight for survival against Ha Noi, Da Nang, and Lavie Tay Ninh. A vital 3-1 win against Lavie Tay Ninh in the ranking round (on October 12) secured enough points for Sanest Khanh Hoa to get a safe position in the league.

For many people, it may be hard to accept that Sanest Khanh Hoa, who had always been a favorite for the national championship title and Hung Vuong Cup title, are now quite satisfied with avoiding relegation. However, given the financial difficulties and all that the team has endured since the start of the season, retaining a place in the national league is considered a great achievement for Coach Ngo Van Kieu and his players. Hopefully, following this challenging 2025 season, Sanest Khanh Hoa will receive greater attention and investment so that they can play well in the next season and affirm their position in Vietnam’s volleyball professional playground.
