The 67th Tien Phong Newspaper National Marathon and Long Distance Championship in Khanh Hoa expects more than 15,000 athletes

Nguyen Long Bien, Permanent Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, chaired a recent meeting with Tien Phong Newspaper on the organization of the 67th Tien Phong Newspaper National Marathon and Long Distance Championship 2026.

The race is jointly organized by Khanh Hoa Province and Tien Phong Newspaper and is scheduled to take place at 2-4 Square (Nha Trang Ward) at the end of March 2026.  More than 15,000 athletes are expected to participate in the race in 2 categories, amateur and professional, with 4 distances of 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km along the coastal routes in the wards of Nha Trang, Nam Nha Trang and Bac Nha Trang.

Besides participating in the race (scheduled for March 29), the athletes can take part in sideline activities from March 25 to March 28, such as attending flag raising ceremony at Gac Ma Soldier Memorial Site; visiting popular tourist attractions in Khanh Hoa; enjoying music and culinary festivals; and joining activities promoting Khanh Hoa's typical local products.

Permanent Deputy Chairman Nguyen Long Bien fundamentally agreed with the proposed activities of the 2026 Tien Phong Newspaper National Marathon and Long Distance Championship. He assigned the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to cooperate with other departments, sectors and localities to support Tien Phong Newspaper in organizing the race successfully and promote the image of Khanh Hoa through the race as well.
