Stage 2 of PVNA Pickleball Newbie Kickoff 2026 recently took place at P Picklr court cluster (Dong Hai Ward), drawing over 100 players competing in 3 categories: women's doubles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles. More than just competition, the tournament aimed to connect the community and create a stepping stone for pickleball beginners to gradually become more professional.

The matches were played in a round-robin format, giving the players many opportunities to play and gain competition experience. As said by Le Nhu Thang Loi, vice-head of the organizing committee, Newbie Kickoff was designed specifically for those who have just started to play pickleball and want to test their skills in a standardized competition. Through each stage, the organizers aim to build a complete pickleball ecosystem where new players can learn, upgrade their skills, and gradually approach a professional style of play.

"What we aim for is that Newbie Kickoff is not just a competition but a venue for people to connect, learn from and encourage each other. The enthusiasm of the players is the clearest testament to the movement's development," said Tran Van Khoa, manager of the P Picklr court cluster.

For the players, this stage of the tournament is an opportunity for them to confidently take part in real matches. Le Van Que, a men's doubles player, has only been playing pickleball for a few months. Participating in the competition helps him become more confident, better understand the rules of play, learn how to cooperate with his partner, and improve his emotional control.

As for Huynh Thi Ngoc Diep, a women's doubles player, Newbie Kickoff is a challenge that helps her improve faster. The round-robin format allows the players to play against many opponents with different skill levels. After each match, the players talk about the strategies, technical errors, and tips for handling the paddles, which is useful to improve playing skills and can be obtained mostly through tournaments.

Through the Newbie Kickoff, the participants can gain points on the PVNA forum system, which is currently one of the most reputable forums nationwide. This makes it easier for the players to participate in tournaments organized by PVNA across the country.

PVNA Newbie Kickoff is a tournament series held regularly every two weeks per stage, consisting of 15 stages running from November 16, 2025, to June 14, 2026. With a professional format that remains accessible to beginners, the tournament is contributing to an increasingly large pickleball community locally. Based on these systematic steps, the pickleball movement in Khanh Hoa Province promises to continue its strong development, opening up opportunities for more new people to play this sport that is becoming increasingly popular worldwide.
