Enough goods for shopping demand
Phan Thi Thu Cuc, deputy director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, said that there’s no lack in goods for Tet in the market of Khanh Hoa. Prices of meat, poultry, fruits, wine and beer see a slight rise because of the rising demand. Commercial centers, supermarkets, sellers, shops, etc. have stocked goods for Tet with big quantity, various kinds and good looking designs. Locally-made products also make up the most in the market. Supermarkets have signed contracts and required suppliers committee stable prices on Tet occasion.
Up to now, sales of wine, beer and soft drinks have increased 2 - 3 times than usual. Prices of this kind of products at supermarkets have no increase as supermarkets have dealed stable prices with suppliers. Prices at shops may rise by VND5,000 – VND10,000/can. Meanwhile, fresh food has gone up slightly by 5% - 12% than usual. Pork has risen by VND10,000/kg; beef: by VND20,000/kg; chicken: by VND10,000/kg; mackerel: by VND20,000/kg, etc.
In two mountainous districts Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh, from the advance from the provincial State budget, trade and service centers of Khanh Son District and Khanh Vinh District have prepared goods for Tet.
Besides, some businesses launched mobile sales in some places. For example, Co.opmart Nha Trang organized two market days in Dien Khanh Township, Dien Khanh District and Van Gia Township, Van Ninh District; Co.opmart Cam Ranh organized two market days in Cam Thanh Nam Commune and Binh Hung Island, Cam Ranh with consumer commodities, foodstuff, garment, etc.

To serve buyers more, supermarkets announce to add more opening hours. Most of them will close in the noon of the last day of the lunar year (February 4) and reopen on the 2nd – 4th day of the lunar new year. On days near Tet, supermarkets open sooner and close later than usucal. Co.opmart Nha Trang will close at 5 pm on February 4 and reopen on February 8. Vinmart Nha Trang (60 Thai Nguyen Street, Nha Trang) will close at 12 am on February 4 and reopen on February 8. Big C Nha Trang will close at 12 am on February 4 and reopen on February 7. Lotte Nha Trang will close on 2 pm on February 4 and reopen at 10 am on February 6. Most of sellers at markets will sell till the morning of February 4.
