Businesses play vital part in cooperation success

According to leaders of the Departments of Culture, Sport & Tourism of Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong Provinces, the success of the tourism cooperation program

According to leaders of the Departments of Culture, Sport & Tourism of Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong Provinces, the success of the tourism cooperation program, period 2010-2015, between the two provinces depends mostly on tourism businesses.

According to Truong Dang Tuyen, the Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sport & Tourism, after 2 years of the cooperation program, cooperation agreements on tourism trade have been signed by travel businesses.

Nguyen Van Huong, Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sport & Tourism says the cooperation has helped to boost the local tourism development. The number of tourist arrivals from Da Lat to Nha Trang and vice versa have increased.

The event has brought tourism administrators together to share information, exchange views and develop areas of cooperation on tourism trade and policies

Many sea ecological, cultural and historical tours featuring mountain and sea tourist attractions have been organized.

Famous tourist destinations in the two provinces include Bidoup National Park-Ba Mount, Nha Trang Bay Marine Reserve, Madagui Forest Tourist Site, Damb’ri Waterfall, Vinpearl Land, Ponagar Temples, Dien Khanh Ancient Citadel, etc.

Mountain and sea adventure sport tours include mountain biking (Lam Dong), water skiing, parasailing and diving (Khanh Hoa).

The tourism sectors of the two provinces have cooperated in promoting their tourism products and images through culture and tourism events such as Nha Trang Sea Festival, Da lat Flower Festival, tourism exhibitions and fairs.

However, the cooperation between the town provinces have not gained much achievements as expected.

According to Director Truong Dang Tuyen, travel businesses in the two provinces have not joined much effort in mutual tourism environment improvement with a common approach to marketing.
